Music Theory and Aural Skills

Richard Drehoff Jr. is an adjunct faculty member and doctoral candidate at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. His research interests explore both the psychological affect derived from listeners' perceptions of gesture across varying durational contexts and the sonic construction of sensations of intimacy and vulnerability across the composer-performer-listener dynamic. Richard currently serves on the board of the Music Theory Society of the Mid-Atlantic (Student Representative).
